We are down here in Shop No. 1 of the Mayur Building on Dattapada Road. Most people know the spot because it’s right opposite the Welcome Hotel in Borivali East. It gets pretty busy around here with the traffic and people walking to the station. We spend most of our days helping people pick out frames or teaching them how to put in contact lenses for the first time. It is always a bit funny seeing someone try to touch their eye while looking in the mirror. The shop isn’t huge but we fit a lot of glasses on the walls. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now. Sometimes the light coming through the front window is a bit much in the afternoon but it makes the displays look clear. People drop in while they are out doing their shopping or on their way home from work. We usually just keep things quiet and focus on the lenses and making sure the prescriptions are right. It’s a lot of sitting and adjusting tiny screws on ear pieces. If you are coming from the station side, just look for the Welcome Hotel and you will see us right across the street. We don’t have any fancy music playing or anything, just the usual sounds of the road and people talking. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and the people in the neighborhood who need their eyes checked or a new pair of specs. We're just around the corner.
