Deep Cards

Deep Cards is located at 439 Dariyapur in the Chira Bazar Kadiyanaka area. This neighborhood is always crowded, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We deal with paper every single day. Wedding cards, visiting cards, and all sorts of stationery pass through our hands. The smell of ink is pretty much stuck in the walls now. We have a few old printing presses that make a lot of noise, but they still work fine for most jobs. We also do some digital stuff now because that is what people ask for. It’s a family-run kind of place. My father started it and now we just keep it going. We have piles of cardstock samples everywhere. People come in and spend a long time picking out just the right shade of cream or gold. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just shelves and counters. Sometimes the machines jam and we have to spend an hour fixing them. It's frustrating but that’s just the business. We try to be helpful when people are stressed about their events. We've seen a lot of trends come and go over the decades. Simple designs are still the ones people like best. We don't put on airs here. We just take the orders, print the cards, and make sure they are ready when we said they would be. It’s a lot of folding and packing, but it keeps us busy.
