I operate out of Flat Number 7 in the Raj Mayur building here in Mulund West. It’s a quiet enough residential building, with mostly families living in the other flats around me. I’ve set up my work area in the front room of the flat. It’s got a big wooden table and my computer, with piles of folders and books everywhere. I’ve lived in Mulund for a long time, so I know the neighborhood quite well. This isn't a retail shop or a big corporate office with a reception area. It’s just the place where I do my daily business. People usually call me before they come over because I might be out running errands or meeting someone else. The building has an old lift that rattles a bit when it moves, but it usually gets you to the floor without much trouble. I like working from here because it’s peaceful and away from the crowds. I don't have to deal with the constant noise of the main market areas. I do everything myself, from the basic paperwork to the actual service I provide to people. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely during the day, so I go down to the local park for a short walk in the evenings once I'm done. I’ve kept things very simple over the years. There are no big signs outside, just a small nameplate on the door like everyone else. It’s a very local way of doing things. I’m happy with how it is. Just a small space where I can focus.
