You can find Datta Sawant Art over in Parel, specifically at 211 Gokul Nagar in the Ranvir Sadan building. We are located right near Bharat Mata Talkies, which is a big landmark that everyone in this part of town knows. If you see the old cinema, you are pretty much there. Our space is always a bit of a mess, but that is because we are always making things. There are paints, brushes, and pieces of work scattered all over the place. It is a real workshop, not a gallery with white walls and fancy lights. We have been in Parel for a long time, and we like the energy of the neighborhood. The building, Ranvir Sadan, has a lot of character, even if it is a bit old now. We spend our days working on different art projects, sometimes for local festivals and sometimes for people who just want something hand-made. There is always the sound of traffic from the main road, and the smell of paint is pretty strong most of the time. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to use our hands. People stop by to chat or see what we are working on. It’s a busy, dusty, and creative life here, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep making art every day.
