D.N. Ghandhi

We have been up here on the third floor of Soona Mahal for quite a while now. If you know Marine Drive, you probably recognize the building because it has that old Mumbai look that stands out. D.N. Ghandhi is just a few of us working away every day, dealing with all the small tasks that pile up. Sometimes the lift works and sometimes it does not, so we end up getting plenty of exercise climbing those stairs to the office. The view of the ocean is nice to have, though we don't spend much time staring at it because there is always something to do. It is a busy area but we like the energy here. People drop in, we talk for a bit, and then we get back to the work. It is not a fancy setup with glass walls or modern furniture. We just have our desks, stacks of papers, and the sound of the traffic coming up from the street. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot since we started, but Soona Mahal stays pretty much the same. It feels like home for the business. Being on the third floor means we are slightly away from the worst of the noise, but you can still feel the city moving. We keep things very simple around here. There are no big speeches or special plans. We just show up, open the doors, and handle whatever comes our way. Most people find us through word of mouth. It is a practical way to run things.
