D I Construction

D I Construction operates out of Unit No 217 in the Bussa Industrial area, right between Prabhadevi and Mahim. It’s an old industrial building, nothing too pretty, but it works for us. We do a lot of site visits, so we aren’t always sitting in the office. This place is mostly where we keep the plans, some tools, and do the billing. If you've been around the Bussa estate, you know it’s a maze of small businesses and workshops. We’ve been here for a while now. Building things is hard work and requires a lot of coordination. We deal with materials, labor, and making sure the walls are straight. It’s different from those big companies you see on TV. We are local people who know the streets of Mumbai. The traffic getting to the unit can be a nightmare in the evenings, but it's central enough for us to reach sites in both directions. We started small with just minor repairs and slowly moved into bigger stuff. You can usually find us covered in dust or looking at blueprints. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just build. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain or a late delivery, but that’s the reality of construction in this city. It’s honest work. The office is functional. We have a couple of desks and a lot of samples lying around. If you need us, we’re usually there early in the morning.
