We spend most of our days here at Conwood House in Goregaon East dealing with all sorts of stone slabs. It is a bit of a dusty job, truth be told, but that is just how it goes when you are working with granite and marble all the time. Crystal Granite And Marble Ltd. has been around this part of Yashodham for a while now. We keep a lot of stock in the back, mostly heavy pieces that take a few guys to move around safely. Sometimes people come in knowing exactly what they want for their kitchen or floors, and other times they just stare at the patterns for an hour. We don’t mind much. The traffic on Gen. A. K. Vaidya Marg can be a real pain during rush hour, which usually means deliveries take a bit longer than we’d like, but we try to stay on top of things. It’s a straightforward business. We cut the stone, we polish it up, and we send it out. There isn’t much fancy about it, just a lot of hard work and heavy lifting. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our spot here, but we just keep doing what we do.
