We set up this little spot, Crazy Cup Corn, in Mulund West a while back because people around here always seemed to want a quick snack while walking. It’s mostly just us boiling corn and getting the cups ready every day. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone comes out for a stroll. We spend a lot of time just peeling the husks and making sure everything is hot. Sometimes the steam gets a bit much in the small space but you get used to it. The counter isn't very big so things can get a bit crowded when four or five people show up at once. We don't really have fancy seating or anything, just the stand where we work. Mostly it’s just locals we see every day, some kids after school and folks heading home from work. It’s a simple setup really. We usually start getting things ready in the afternoon and stay open until the corn runs out or it gets too late. The address is just here in Mulund West, not hard to find if you’re familiar with the area. We try to keep things clean but with the butter and masalas it’s a constant job of wiping down the surfaces. It feels good when someone says the corn was cooked just right. It’s not much but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the neighborhood noise. It’s just how we do things here.
