We set up shop at Cbd East No. 13. It’s a straightforward location for Core Engineering. The building is older, and we’ve taken up a decent amount of space for our operations. Most of what we do involves a lot of technical thinking and hands-on work. The floors are concrete and there are plenty of heavy benches where we tinker with things. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to for a fancy meeting. We’re usually covered in a bit of dust or grease anyway. Cbd East is a practical area to work in. There are plenty of other shops nearby, so we can always find a spare part if we need one. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. The windows are large, which is nice for natural light, but they also let in the sound of the street. We’ve got a small area for making coffee and sitting down for a few minutes. Most of the day is spent on our feet, though. No. 13 has been our home for several years now. We know all the quirks of the building, like which doors stick and where the light switches are hidden. It’s just a plain, hardworking engineering space. Sometimes we stay through the weekend to catch up. It’s quiet then. We like the focus it gives us. Core Engineering isn't about the fluff, just the results. We like it here.
