Floor Zone

Floor Zone is up on the 2nd floor of the Grants Building, at 8/37 Arthur Bunder Road in Colaba. Being in Colaba means we are surrounded by a lot of history and old architecture, which is pretty nice. However, being on the second floor means we have to haul a lot of flooring samples up and down the stairs, which keeps us fit, I suppose. The building is one of those classic Colaba structures with thick walls and high ceilings. We focus on various types of flooring, and we’ve got samples tucked into every available corner of the room. Arthur Bunder Road is always humming with energy, and we can see the street life from our windows. It’s not a fancy, high-end retail space. It feels more like a workshop or a busy office. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations; the products themselves take up most of the space anyway. People usually come to us when they are renovating their flats in South Mumbai and need something durable for their floors. We don't have a scripted sales pitch. We just talk to people like normal and try to help them find something that fits their budget. Sometimes we stay late to finish up some inventory work, but usually, we close up and head home like everyone else. It’s a good spot to be in, right in the heart of the action.
