Classic Loom Data

You can find Classic Loom Data over at Kamalakar Chawl, specifically Room Number 7. We are located on Holy Cross Road in Poinsur, which is part of Kandivali West here in Mumbai. It’s a small place, as you can imagine being in a chawl, but it’s where we do all our work. Dealing with loom data involves a lot of sitting and focusing on the details. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The neighborhood is always active, especially being so close to Holy Cross Road. There are people walking by all the time and it can get a bit cramped, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so we know everyone around Poinsur. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People just know where Room 7 is. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit tricky to get around the chawl, but we manage. We just handle the data for the looms and keep our heads down. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have any fancy corporate structure. It’s just us in this room, working through the day. If you are in Kandivali West, you know how these streets are. We like it here because it feels like home and the work keeps us grounded. There is always tea nearby and someone to talk to, which makes the long hours a bit better.
