Classic Decorators

If you walk down toward Jogeshwari West, you’ll find us tucked away near number 26. We’ve been Classic Decorators for a long time, though the sign outside is getting a bit faded from the sun. The shop is usually full of rolls of fabric, some old chairs we’re fixing up, and stacks of catalogs that nobody has looked at in years. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but we know where everything is. Most days, we’re out on-site somewhere, trying to get curtains hung or figuring out where a sofa should go. My phone rings a lot with people asking about colors or if we can come by to measure a window. It’s not always glamorous work; there’s a lot of dust and climbing up ladders that might be a bit too old. I usually have tea with the guys in the afternoon to talk about what needs finishing. We don’t really do those big glossy presentations you see on TV. We just show up with our tools and try to make the place look better than it did when we arrived. Sometimes things go wrong, like a measurement being off or a supplier sending the wrong shade of blue, and we have to spend the whole day fixing it. It’s just a small local business trying to stay busy in a crowded neighborhood. We like the work, even when it gets stressful and the clients are a bit picky about their pillows.
