City Marble

City Marble is located within the Gouri Sankar Industrial Estate, specifically inside the Chabra Compound in Shivaji Nagar. It’s near Vakola in Santacruz East, which is a part of the city that never really stops moving. Finding us can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the layout of the industrial estates around here. We’re surrounded by other workshops and small factories, so there’s a constant drone of machinery and the sound of horns from the street. Our space is filled with marble of all kinds, squeezed into the compound wherever we can make it fit. It’s a bit cramped, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time navigating the narrow paths between the stone slabs, checking orders and helping people find the right shade or texture. The air in Santacruz East is always thick, and inside the estate, it feels even more so with all the activity. We don’t have any fancy marketing or a big sign; we just rely on being here at our spot in the Chabra Compound every day. Most of our regulars are contractors or locals who know the Vakola area well. It’s a gritty, honest place to work. We deal with the heavy lifting and the logistics of getting stone through the Mumbai traffic, which is a full-time job in itself.
