We operate Citigroup Global Services out of C-401 in the B3 wing of Velentine Apartments. It’s located on Gen A.K Vaidya Marg in the Pimpripada area of Malad East, Mumbai. Living and working in Mumbai means you’re always in a rush, but our office in the apartments feels a bit more like a home. It’s a residential building, so we have to be mindful of our neighbors. We’ve turned the apartment into a workspace with desks and computers everywhere. It’s not a big shiny office block with a glass front. Instead, it’s a place where we just sit down and get our tasks done. The 400097 area is quite crowded, and the road outside can be a mess during the rains. We don't have a canteen, so we usually just bring our own food and eat together. We don’t use any of that corporate talk or try to sound like we’re more important than we are. It’s just a job that needs doing, and we do it to the best of our ability every day. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we wait or take the stairs. It’s a very ordinary way of working, but it suits us just fine. We don't have any big mission statements or visions. We just focus on the service we provide and try to keep everything running smoothly without making a big deal out of it or using polished words.
