Our clinic is on the second floor over on L J Road in Mahim. If you know the Transport Nagar area near Sector 23, we are right around there. The 400016 zip code is a pretty lively place with a lot of movement throughout the day. Getting up to the second floor is easy enough, and once you're inside, we have the usual setup for checking eyes. There’s the big chart on the wall with all the letters and the machine you have to lean your chin into. The lighting is quite bright because we need to see what we're doing, obviously. We’ve been here for a good while. The windows look out over the road, so you can watch the traffic while you wait your turn. It’s mostly just routine stuff here, like testing vision or picking out frames. We have a glass case with some options, but it’s not like those fancy boutiques in the malls. It’s just practical stuff that people need for their daily lives. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the equipment. It’s just me and a small staff. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about things. It’s a straightforward business in a busy part of town. People stop in on their way home from work mostly. We just keep the doors open and do the job.
