Central Motors

You can find Central Motors right at Shop No 1 in Haryana Basti. It's just off the Link Road in Jogeshwari West. It’s a busy spot, always a lot of people moving around outside. We opened up this shop because it was a good location for people passing by. It’s not a very big space, but we make it work with what we have. Most days it’s just me and a couple of others here working. We spend a lot of time on our feet on the hard floor. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we have to wipe things down a lot more than I’d like. It’s not a polished place. We have some old chairs for when someone has to wait, and the fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the months. The neighbors in the Basti are alright; we all kind of look out for each other’s shops when someone has to step away. Sometimes the traffic on Link Road gets so loud you can’t hear the person standing next to you. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us what to say. It's just a local shop. If someone needs something fixed or a part for their car, they usually just walk in and ask. We take things as they come and try not to worry too much.
