We are over in Byculla, specifically at Prem Estate on Sant Savta Road No 1. Mustafa Bazar is a busy place, and we are right in the thick of it. The area has a lot of history and you can feel it in the old buildings and the narrow lanes. Our work here is all about the cold storage. It’s an older facility but we keep it running well. Most days involve a lot of heavy movement—boxes coming in from the docks and boxes going out to the local markets. The refrigeration units make a constant humming sound that you eventually stop noticing after a few weeks. It's a bit cramped around Mustafa Bazar, so getting trucks in and out takes some real skill from the drivers. We have a small crew who have been here for a long time. We know the local chai vendors and the other businesses in Prem Estate. The air is always a bit heavy with the smells of the vegetable market nearby. We don't have a modern office with glass walls or carpets. It's just a functional space with thick walls to keep the cold inside. We spend our time managing the inventory logs and making sure the temperature stays exactly where it should. It’s a straightforward operation. Byculla is a loud, busy neighborhood, but inside the storage area, it’s quiet and very chilly. We usually eat our lunch together in the small break room.
