Bonny Associates

We’ve got this shop, number 3 to 17, inside Vijay Estate in Kurla West. It’s right across from the Dhobi Ghat, which is a useful landmark since the Hall Road area can get a bit confusing with all the turns. Being near the Masrani Industrial Estate means there’s always people moving back and forth. The shop is a decent size, and we’ve filled it with just about everything we need to keep things running. It’s a bit old-fashioned inside, with wooden shelves and a heavy metal shutter we pull down every evening. Some days are loud because of the work going on nearby, but that’s just how Kurla is. We usually have the radio playing low in the back. There’s a tea guy who comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break from the paperwork or the inventory. The air inside always smells a little like old paper and machinery. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just a calendar on the wall and a few folders stacked on the desks. It’s not the most modern office you’ll ever see, but it works for us. We know all the other shopkeepers in the estate, so there’s a bit of a community feeling here. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. Bonny Associates is just us in this little corner of the city.
