Black Table Creatives India

We are situated on the 1st floor of the India Printing House building on Wadala Market Road. Being at number 42 means we are right in the thick of the market area, so it’s always lively outside our door. Since we are in a printing house building, there’s always that faint smell of ink and paper in the air, which we’ve kind of gotten used to over the months. Our space is called Black Table Creatives, and it’s where we do all our design work and brainstorming. We have a few large tables, hence the name, though they are usually covered in sketches, laptops, and coffee mugs. It is not a very tidy place, but that’s just how we work best when we are busy. We have some posters on the walls and a lot of books for inspiration. The light in the afternoon is actually pretty good for working on layouts. We spend a lot of our time debating about colors or fonts while the sounds of the market drift up through the windows. It’s a creative spot but without any of the fancy stuff you might see in big corporate agencies. We just like making things and working on projects that come our way. Sometimes the printers downstairs are running late and we have to go down and check on things myself. It’s a good community here in Wadala, and we’ve made some good friends with the other people in the building.
