Our shop is down at 51 Bibijan Street, right on the ground floor. If you’ve ever walked near Nagdevi Street, you know how packed those lanes get every single day. It’s a struggle sometimes just to get a small cart through the crowds. We are at Shop No. 11, and it’s a tight squeeze with all the stock we keep piled up. Every inch of the walls is covered with shelves that reach the ceiling. We’ve been here for a long time, and the routine is always the same. Open up, sweep the front, and start sorting through the orders for the day. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. Customers come in and out all day, mostly looking for specific parts or hardware they can't find elsewhere. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in from the street for the first time. It’s loud out there with the vendors shouting and the bikes zooming past, but inside, we just focus on the business. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside for a quick tea when there’s a lull in the afternoon. Dealing with the suppliers near Nagdevi is a whole task in itself, but being so close helps us get things quickly. It’s a humble place, just four walls and a lot of hard work.
