We’re set up in E 102 at Sonigra Bhavan, which is on Cunningham Road in Chembur. If you can’t find the building, just look for the Celebration Hotel across the street; we’re right opposite it. Our business is all about stone, specifically marble. It’s heavy, dusty work, but we’ve been at it for a long time. The shop is filled with slabs and samples that we’ve collected over the years. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s more of a practical space where you can see the actual material and feel the texture of the stone. People come to us when they are renovating their homes or building something new. We talk about the different types of marble, where they come from, and how they’ll look once they’re installed. It’s not about selling the most expensive piece; it’s about finding what works for the customer's floor or kitchen. The office part is just a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. Chembur is a good place to be, even with all the traffic on Cunningham Road. We’ve built a decent reputation just by being honest about the quality of the stone we have in stock. If there’s a crack or a flaw in a piece, we point it out. That’s just how we do things here. It’s straightforward work and we’re glad to be a part of the local trade.
