We are situated at 280 Mandvi, which is right in the heart of all the activity. If you know Mandvi, you know it's crowded and there's always something happening right outside the door. Our space is pretty basic. It’s an old building with high ceilings and we’ve got stacks of files that seem to grow every week. We spend most of our time here going through papers or meeting with people who drop by without calling first. That’s just how it works in this area. We usually have the tea guy coming in three or four times a day because that’s the only way to get through the afternoon. The windows don’t block out much of the street noise, so you hear the bikes and the shouting all day long. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or a coffee machine. We just have a few fans and some sturdy desks. We've been here at number 280 for a long time and the locals know where to find us if they need help with their paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people show up at once and there’s nowhere to sit, but we manage. We just pull up another stool and keep going. It’s a plain, honest office where we do our work and don't worry too much about the decor. The walls could use a paint job, but we're usually too busy to care about things like that.
