Being located in Borivali West at Om Sri Sai Darshan Apartments means things are always moving. Sodawala Lane is a tight spot sometimes with all the vehicles and people walking back and forth. We are up on the 715th floor area, or rather Flno A 715, which makes it feel a bit tucked away from the main road noise. Mumbai life is fast, and we see that every day here. People come in looking a bit tired from the commute or the rain if it’s monsoon season. We recognize most of the residents in the building since we share the same space essentially. It’s a local setup. We don’t have those massive lobbies you see in movies. It’s just our workspace where we keep the records and talk to anyone who drops by. Sometimes the lift takes a while, so people arrive a bit out of breath. We just get on with the paperwork. Borivali has a specific feel to it, a mix of residential quiet and market chaos, and being right here in the middle of it is just how it is. We spend our days handling the usual requests. No one here is trying to be anything other than a neighbor who happens to work at the bank. We’ve got our regular chairs and the same old view out the window. It’s just a normal part of the day for us and the folks in 400092. We see the sunset over the buildings and pack up our things.
