The business, which goes by the name Available, is located on the third floor of Nav Meghdoot on Linking Road in Khar West. If you know Mumbai, you know Linking Road is one of the busiest streets you can find, filled with shoppers and cars at almost every hour. Being on the third floor helps us stay a little bit away from the street noise, though you can still hear the constant honking if you open the window. Our space, Flat 7 B, is small and crowded with all the things we need to run the place. We don’t have any fancy signage or a big glass front. It’s just a regular door in a regular building. We spend most of our time here managing whatever comes our way, whether it’s paperwork or small tasks for the day. The building is one of those older Mumbai structures where everyone knows everyone else. We often run into neighbors in the elevator or on the stairs. It’s a very typical Mumbai work environment—cramped but efficient. We don’t have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy; we just show up and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when we have a lot going on, but we just push through and get it finished. It's a real, local business in a very real part of town. We are right in the middle of it all.
