Atharva Eye Clinic

We are over here at Atharva Eye Clinic, tucked into the Pitale Prasad Building. If you know the Grant Road area, we are right on Shankar Seth Road, specifically the 1st Sleather Road part. It is usually pretty loud outside because of the Bhaji Gali nearby. You can always smell the fresh vegetables and hear the vendors early in the morning when we are opening up the shutters. The building itself is an older one, but it works fine for what we need. Mumbai 400007 is a busy pin code and people just walk in from the street mostly. We spend a lot of our day sitting in the clinic, waiting for the next person to come through the door for an eye check. Sometimes the traffic on Shankar Seth Road gets backed up and it takes forever for anyone to get anywhere. We have a few chairs for waiting and the basic machines for looking at eyes. It isn’t a fancy place with a big lobby or anything like that. Just a regular room where we do our work. The light coming in from the window is okay, but we use the overhead lamps mostly. It’s been this way for a while now. We keep the floor swept and try to keep things organized so we can find the patient files. Being near the market means there is always something happening outside. Sometimes we go out to get tea from the stall around the corner when it gets quiet.
