Atharva Clinic

Our clinic is inside Rameshwar Niwas, which is right across from the Bengal Chemicals building in the Fort area. It is an older building with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that sometimes creak when you open them. We have a small waiting area with a few chairs and some old magazines that have been there for months. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the ceiling fan and people talking quietly while they wait their turn. We try to see everyone as they come in, but sometimes things get backed up if a complicated case walks through the door. The walls are painted a simple white, though they could probably use a fresh coat one of these days. There’s a distinct smell of antiseptic and rubbing alcohol as soon as you step inside, which I guess is common for any medical spot. We don't have a receptionist with a headset or any fancy digital check-in screens. You just come in, write your name down, and wait. The doctor has been practicing here for a long time and knows most of the families who live in the nearby blocks. It’s a very local feel, not like those big hospital chains where you are just a number on a screen. We focus on basic health stuff and making sure people get the right advice. It is a quiet, steady place that has been part of the neighborhood for many years now and we stay busy.
