Ashish Sandwich

Ashish Sandwich is tucked away at 65/28 Sir Phirozeshah Mehta Road in the Sitaphal Baug Colony area. Our address is a bit of a mouthful because we are near the ICICI Lombard office and Sohrab Hall on Sasoon Road. We are basically over by the station in Pune, in the Maruti Vihar CHS. It’s a very busy area with a lot of office workers and commuters coming from the station. We spend our day making sandwiches and trying to keep up with the lunch rush. It gets really crowded around noon, but that is when we are at our best. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have our counters and our ingredients, and that is about it. We don't have much seating, so most people just grab their food and head back to their offices. Being near the station means we see thousands of people every day. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we know exactly when the trains arrive based on the crowds. It’s a lot of hard work standing on our feet all day, but we enjoy the pace. We don't use any fancy machines, just fresh stuff and our hands. It’s a simple business. We aren't part of some big chain. It’s just us here in the Sitaphal Baug Colony area making food for people who are in a hurry. We stay until the bread runs out.
