We are located in the Bonanza Industrial Estate over in Kandivali East, right off Lbs Marg. If you are coming from Bhandup West, it is a bit of a trek through the Ashok Chawl area. Our unit is A 13. It is loud here. Between our printing presses and the other shops in the estate, there is always a low hum of machinery. The air usually smells like ink and cleaning solvents. We have posters and test prints taped up all over the walls just to see how the colors turned out. Most of our day is spent making sure the alignments are right and the paper does not jam. It is messy work. My clothes usually have a few ink spots on them by lunchtime. We get all kinds of jobs, from small business cards to big banners for local events. We do not have a fancy front desk with a receptionist. You just walk in and find one of us near the machines. We have been in this building for years and we know all the other shop owners nearby. Sometimes we swap tools or help each other out when something breaks down. It is a tough environment but it is where we feel at home. We just focus on getting the prints out the door so people can get on with their own business. It is not perfect, but it is what we do.
