Anjani Stones

Finding our spot at Plot No. A/118 in the Anjani Complex can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking closely. Andheri Kurla Road is always packed with cars and trucks, and the noise never really stops. Here at Anjani Stones, we spend our days surrounded by heavy slabs and the smell of cut stone. It is a messy business, to be honest. There is always water on the floor and white dust on everything, even our clothes. We moved into this Andheri East location a while back because it’s central, even if the traffic is a nightmare for the delivery drivers. The office is just a small corner where we keep the invoices and take calls. Sometimes a customer comes in wanting something specific and we have to go digging through the stacks to find it. It’s heavy work and our backs usually ache by the end of the shift. We don’t spend much time making the place look pretty because it’s a workshop first. We have a few old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still get the job done. Lunch is usually eaten quickly on one of the workbenches while we talk about the news or the cricket score. It is just a regular place where people work hard and try to get the orders out on time without too much fuss. Most of the time it is loud and busy, but we are used to that rhythm now.
