Our company, Ampoules & Vials Manufacturing Co. Ltd, is situated at unit number 40 inside the Kewal Industrial Estate. We are right on Senapati Bapat Marg in the Lower Parel West area. This part of the city used to be full of old textile mills, but now it is a mix of all kinds of different businesses. Our part of the estate is still very much about manufacturing and making things. We produce small glass containers like ampoules and vials that are mostly used in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. It is a very technical process that involves a lot of heat and glass blowing machinery. The factory floor can get quite hot during the day because of the furnaces we use. We are not a huge corporation with fancy offices; we are just a focused manufacturing unit. We spend most of our time checking for quality and making sure the glass is shaped correctly according to the requirements. The estate itself is quite old and can be a bit of a maze if you do not know exactly where you are going. We have a dedicated crew of workers who have been with us for many years. They know how to handle the machines better than anyone else does. It is a noisy environment with the sound of glass clicking and machines humming all day long. We just stay focused on our daily production schedules and get the work done. Lower Parel is always busy with people, but inside our gates, it is all about the glass.
