Alien

We’ve been here at shop number five in the Terawala Building for a good while now. Being right on the National Highway at Char Rasta in Mulund West means it gets pretty noisy with all the trucks and cars zooming past outside our door. Most mornings start with just opening up the shutters and dusting off the desks because the road dust really gets everywhere. It’s a small space, nothing fancy at all, just enough room for us to get our work done and keep things moving. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the traffic. People stop by sometimes just to ask for directions since we are right at the crossroads. The building itself is older, but it serves us well. We don’t have any big corporate meetings or anything like that. It’s mostly just us handling whatever comes through the door that day. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet because it doesn't bother us much. We know the chai wallah nearby pretty well by now. Lunch is usually brought from home or grabbed from one of the stalls around the corner. It's just a regular workplace where we try to stay busy and keep our heads down. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go around this part of Mulund, but we’re still here doing our bit every day. It's not a glamorous life, but it's ours.
