Akash Marble & Granite

We are located at 26 C on LBS Marg. It’s a very busy road, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks and cars passing by all day. We have been selling marble and granite from this yard for a long time now. You can see the big slabs leaning against the walls right from the street as you drive past. It’s heavy and difficult work, moving the stone around and making sure nothing gets cracked or chipped. We have a small office at the front where we keep the samples and talk to customers who drop in. Most people come in looking for something specific for their new kitchen or for their bathroom floors. We show them what we have in stock and tell them how it needs to be cut to fit. It’s a family-run business, and we’ve been here since my uncle first started the place years ago. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and glass doors; it’s just the yard and the stone. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes things a bit messy and slippery, but that’s just part of the job for us. We know a lot about the different types of granite and where they come from across the country. We just give people the facts and let them decide what they like for their homes. It’s a simple way of doing things and it works well for us.
