Akar Advertising & Marketing operates out of the ground floor of the Muraji Jetha Building, right at number 11 in Kalbadevi. We are located near the Phulwala Chowk and the Bandivan Maruti Temple, which is a very old and busy part of the city. If you walk through Kachi Ali in New Raviwar Peth, you will eventually find us. The area is famous for its narrow lanes and the constant flow of people and goods being moved around on handcarts. Being on the ground floor means we see a lot of the street life right outside our door. The office itself is always filled with samples of print work, old marketing materials, and various design drafts scattered around. It is a bit of a jumble sometimes because we are constantly working on different things at once. We handle a lot of the practical side of advertising, like getting things printed and figuring out where to place ads for local businesses. The building is quite old, which gives the place a specific character that you do not find in the newer parts of town. It can get quite noisy with the temple bells and the vendors outside, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days on the phone or working at the computers trying to get the layouts just right for the next job. It is a lot of hard work but we keep at it.
