Ahish Marbles & Granite

The shop is right here at Sai Chowk in Andheri East. We’ve been around for a while dealing with all sorts of stone. Mostly folks come in looking for marble slabs or granite for their kitchens and floors. It’s a messy business, honestly. There is dust everywhere when we’re moving the heavy pieces around, but that is just how it goes with stone. We keep a decent stock in the yard. If you walk past the chowk, you’ll see the big slabs leaning against the walls. People usually bring their contractors or just show up with some measurements on a piece of paper. We show them what we have on the floor that day. Sometimes a batch looks different from the last one because it is natural stone, you know? It is not like factory plastic. We spend most of our time loading and unloading trucks. The guys here are used to the heavy lifting. It is a straightforward setup. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It is just the stone and us. If you need a specific type of granite, we check the back. Most of the neighbors know us by now. We just focus on getting the slabs out to the sites on time. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. We don’t really do much advertising, just word of mouth from people around Andheri.
