Working in Lower Parel means you get used to the noise and the crowds pretty fast. Our spot at 155 Sitaram Jadhav Marg is in an old building that has seen better days, but it works for us. We do a lot of technical work here, mostly sitting at desks with blueprints or long lists of numbers. The elevator is slow, so I usually take the stairs even if I’m carrying a heavy bag. There are always people coming in and out of the other offices on this floor. We have some old filing cabinets that squeak every time you open them. It isn’t a glamorous business. We spend hours checking details and making sure things are right before we send them out. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the only sound is the hum of the computers and the traffic outside. I keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner for no real reason. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. We’ve been at this location for a long time, so we know all the local food stalls nearby. It’s a busy life. We don't have any fancy slogans or a big lobby with a TV. We just do our engineering and consulting work and go home when it’s finished. The windows are a bit stiff to open, but we like the fresh air when the street isn't too loud.
