Aakar Graphics

We set up shop here in the Sion Shikarapur area, specifically over in Shirur 2. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but we like it out here. The shop is usually full of the smell of ink and the sound of the machines running. We do a lot of graphic work, but it’s mostly just sitting at the computer and then making sure the printers don't jam. Some days everything goes smooth and other days we are fighting with a machine for three hours. It’s a messy business sometimes. We’ve got rolls of paper and scraps of vinyl all over the floor by the end of the day. We try to sweep up before we leave, but there’s always something left behind. People come in with ideas for signs or posters. We do our best to make it look like what they want. It’s not always easy to explain how colors work on a screen versus on paper, but we try. We aren't a giant company with a hundred people. It’s just us here. We take our lunches together usually. If you come by in the afternoon, you might catch us having a quick break. We’ve been in Shirur for a while now and we know the neighbors pretty well. It’s a good community. We just keep our heads down and keep the printers moving so everyone gets their stuff on time.
