Vrm Aquafish Ventures Private Limited operates out of the Godrej Genesis Building. We are up on the 12th floor, in Unit 1203. It’s a big, modern building in Block EP & GP of Sector V. It feels a bit strange to be talking about fish and aquaculture from such a high floor in a glass building. Usually, when you think of fish, you think of muddy ponds or the coast. But we handle the venture side of things from here. We spend our days looking at spreadsheets and making calls. The air conditioning is always a bit too cold in this building. From the window, you can see all of Salt Lake spread out. We have a lot of meetings about logistics and how to move things from one place to another. It’s a lot of talk about water quality and hatcheries while sitting in swivel chairs. Sometimes we wish we were out by the water instead of in an office. The elevators are fast, but the security downstairs can be a bit of a hassle. We keep our files in some grey cabinets and drink way too much coffee from the machine in the hallway. It’s a professional enough space, but we keep it pretty casual inside our unit. We aren't trying to impress anyone; we just need to get the fish business sorted out every day. There is always a lot to do before the weekend starts.
