Our office is on the second floor of Dreams Mall on LBS Road in Bhandup. It’s a bit of a weird spot for an agro and fisheries company, being in a mall and all, but it works for us. We handle the logistics and the paperwork from here. Most of the real action happens out at the ponds and fields elsewhere. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at maps of Maharashtra. Mumbai is crowded, so getting things from the outskirts to the city takes a lot of planning. We are just a small group trying to manage the flow of fish and farm goods. The mall can be loud on weekends, but we’re usually tucked away in room F-326 D. It’s not a fancy corporate suite. Just some desks, computers, and a lot of tea. We started this because we saw how hard it was for producers to get their stuff into the Mumbai markets. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make the supply chain work a bit smoother. It involves a lot of early mornings and late nights. Dealing with fresh fish means you can't wait around for things to happen. Sometimes things go wrong, a truck breaks down or the weather turns, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's a busy life here in Bhandup West, but we like the pace. It keeps us on our toes.
