V P Agro Fruits Trading Llp is right in the middle of the chaos at the BMC Market on S V Road in Borivali West. If you know that area of Mumbai, you know it is always loud and crowded with people looking for a deal. We are at Shop Number 5 and 6, and it gets pretty cramped in there when the new crates of fruit arrive in the early morning. We are usually up and working before the sun even starts to get hot. The floor is often wet, and there is a constant smell of ripening fruit in the air, which you just get used to after a few days. We don't have a marketing department or any polished sales pitches. We just trade fruit and try to make sure everything is fresh enough for the people who buy from us. My back usually starts aching by the afternoon from moving all those heavy boxes around, but that is just part of the job. Borivali is a busy place, and S V Road is always jammed with traffic, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache. We have our regulars who stop by for a chat about the weather or how the prices are changing this week. It is a messy, fast-paced way to make a living, but it feels real. We just want to get through the crates and head home for dinner.
