We operate out of Room Number 1 on the upper floor of Anand Society Chawl. It’s on Hindu Friend Society Road, right across from the Durgesh building in Mumbai. Being in a chawl means there’s always something going on. You hear the neighbors, you smell the food being cooked next door, and there’s a real sense of community. It’s a small space, but we make it work. We handle various business activities under the Marathi Business name. It’s a modest setup. We don’t have fancy glass walls or air conditioning that works all the time. Just some fans and old desks. We started this because we wanted to build something in our own neighborhood. Working in Mumbai is always a hustle. You have to be quick. We spend our days meeting local vendors and sorting out contracts. It gets cramped when we have more than three people in the room, but we’re used to it. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when you come up. We like the grit of this place. It feels real. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to do our work and go home. It’s a local business run by local people who know the streets and the people here. We share a lot of meals together in this small room while we talk about what needs to be done next for the clients.
