We are located at Door No. 12-376/A in Eturnagaram. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite Amma Hospital. It’s easy to find because everyone knows the hospital. Aadivasi Sammakka Saralamma Farmer Producer Company Limited is a long name, but it means a lot to the people here. We are a group of farmers from around the Eturnagaram area. Most of us grew up here and know the land pretty well. Our office is a simple place where we gather to talk about the crops and the prices. Being near the hospital means there is always traffic and people walking by. It’s a busy corner of town. We don't have any fancy furniture or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s just a place to work. We help each other out with seeds and selling what we grow. It’s a community thing more than anything else. Sometimes the meetings go on for a long time because everyone has an opinion. We just listen and try to make decisions that help the group. It’s not a corporate lifestyle at all. We have dirt under our fingernails and we talk about the rain more than anything else. Eturnagaram is a small place, so word travels fast about what we are doing. We just keep at it, day after day. It’s just life for us and we like it that way.
