Delhi Public School

We’re based out in Abohar, serving the families around this part of Punjab. The school is a bit of a landmark in the local area. It’s a large campus with plenty of space for the kids to run around and play various sports during their free time. We have several different buildings for the various age groups. The mornings start very early with the yellow buses rolling in from the nearby villages and the town itself. It’s a lot of organization to get everyone off the buses and into their right classrooms on time. We have a big open field that gets used for everything from cricket matches to the morning prayers. The staff room is usually a very busy place with teachers swapping stories and checking their daily schedules over a cup of tea. We have a lot of paperwork to keep track of, as you’d expect with a school of this size. The weather can be quite extreme here in Punjab, really hot in the summer and very cold in the winter months, so we have to adjust our timings sometimes. We have a library that stays pretty quiet, which is a nice break from the noisy classrooms and hallways. It’s not a fancy life, just a lot of daily routine and keeping things moving forward. We see the students grow up from small children into teenagers before they finally move on to college. It’s a long process we've watched many times.
