We are located over at 4, Arya Nagar Society, right behind the community hall on Pedal Road. It’s a quiet enough area, except when there’s a function at the hall. Our work with spices started small and it’s stayed pretty much the same over the years. A lot of time goes into sorting through raw materials and grinding them down to a fine powder. The smell of chili and turmeric is always in the air here. It might make you sneeze at first, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our staff is mostly people from around the neighborhood. There are no big corporate rules in this shop. If someone needs a day off for a family thing, we just handle it among ourselves. We keep our machines running for most of the daylight hours. The shop isn't hard to find if you know where Araynagar is. Focus is always on getting the spice mixes right. It takes a lot of patience to dry things out properly when the weather gets humid. We don't really do much advertising. People just find us through word of mouth or by walking past the society gate. It’s a honest way to spend the day. We’ve got a few bags stacked up in the corner and a scale that’s seen better days, but it works fine for us. Just local people working together.
