BHAGAVATI HYDRAULIC WORKS

Our shop is number 10 on the Moon Nagar Main Road. It’s right there on Panchasar Road. If you walk past, you will see a lot of metal parts and probably some oil on the floor. That is just how hydraulic work goes. I spend most of my time with grease on my hands, fixing things that people bring in. It’s a small shop, but we have enough room for the tools we need. The Main Road is always loud with bikes and trucks passing by. Sometimes I sit on a stool out front for a bit of air when it’s not too busy. We get a lot of farmers and truck drivers who need things repaired quickly so they can get back to work. I don't really use a computer much; I keep most of the notes in a thick paper ledger on the desk. The shelves are full of seals and pipes and different fittings. It can look a bit messy to someone from the outside, but I know exactly where everything is. The sun hits the shop front pretty hard in the morning. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know most of the neighbors. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a basic place, but it serves the people around Panchasar Road well enough. There is always a lot of clanking and the smell of grease in the air, but that's what makes it feel like home.
