St. Haris Public School

Down here on Shaukat Ali Road in Rampur, things move at their own pace. St. Haris Public School is right in the Civil Line area, which is a busy little pocket. We’ve got the gates open early because parents are always in a rush to get to work. It’s a plain brick and mortar kind of place. Nothing too flashy, just rooms for the kids to sit and learn their lessons. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the wind blows dust in from the road. You know how it is in this part of Uttar Pradesh. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all walk or cycle in. We don’t really do big speeches or anything like that. We just show up, open the doors, and get on with it. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to open the windows and keep going. The kids don't seem to mind much. They’re busy playing or talking in the hallways. It’s a bit noisy when school lets out, and the rickshaws are lined up outside on the road. But that’s just how it goes every afternoon. If you’re looking for us, we’re right there near the main stretch. It's a decent spot for a school, even if the traffic gets a bit much around noon. We just keep things simple and practical for everyone. It's been a long road to get everything set up right, but we're mostly there now. Every morning the tea gets made, the bells ring, and we just do the work.
