Raja Brick Work

At Raja Brick Work, we spend our days out in the open air near the Inter College in Kashi Pur. Our site is right off Dalpat Pur Road, and you can usually see the smoke from the kilns from a distance. It is a very busy area with students walking back and forth and tractors hauling loads of dirt. Making bricks is a slow process that depends entirely on the weather and the quality of the soil we find nearby. We have been working this land for a long time, and the rhythm of it stays the same year after year. The ground gets very muddy when it rains, which makes it hard for the trucks to get in and out, but we just deal with it as it comes. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years, and they know exactly how to stack the bricks so they dry evenly. It is not the kind of job where you stay clean, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a fresh batch come out of the heat. We don't have a website or a marketing team, we just rely on the fact that people know our location on the road to Dalpat Pur. Sometimes we sit under the shade of the trees near the college and watch the traffic go by while we eat our lunch. It is a simple life centered around the earth and the fire, and we keep things running as best as we can.
