Cambridge Montessori Pre School

Down in Durga Colony in Sambhal, we have this little setup for the younger kids. At Cambridge Montessori Pre School, things are usually a bit frantic in the morning when the parents start arriving. We have kids who are excited to be here and others who take a little while to stop crying for their moms. It’s just part of the job. The building is simple, and we try to keep the rooms organized, even though the kids have other ideas. There’s a lot of blocks and puzzles scattered around. We don't have any big corporate slogans; we just try to make sure the kids are learning their ABCs and playing nicely together. The neighborhood is quiet enough, which helps when it’s nap time, though that doesn't always go as planned. We’ve got teachers who actually care and spend their time helping kids hold a pencil or tie their laces. It’s a lot of repeating the same things over and over, but you see the real progress after a few months. The backyard area is where most of the energy gets spent. It’s not a huge place, but it’s ours. We handle the daily stuff like snack breaks and bathroom runs without making a big deal of it. It’s just an honest place for the little ones in Sambhal to start their schooling before they head off to the bigger schools later on.
