Khalsa Driving School

We are right on the Kharar-Landra Highway, specifically in Village Sante Majra. It is a busy spot because of the highway traffic, but that is where Khalsa Driving School operates. Most of our students come from the local villages or from the Kharar area. Driving on the highway is a whole different ball game compared to the small lanes inside the village, so we make sure to practice both. We are easy to find because we are right there on the main road. The office is nothing special, just a place to keep the logbooks and meet the students. We spend most of our hours in the car, going up and down Landra Road. It gets dusty and loud with all the trucks passing by, but that is the reality of driving around here. We try to be flexible with our timing because we know people have jobs and chores to do. We don't use any fancy simulators or high-tech gear. We just use the actual cars and the actual roads. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready way of learning, but it works. We’ve seen people start out barely being able to hold the wheel and end up driving their families around. It is just a local business trying to help people get their independence on the road. We stay busy, especially in the mornings and evenings when the light is changing and the traffic is at its peak.
