Hi-Tech Rolls

Hi-Tech Rolls is based in Saidpura on Barwala Road in Derabassi. We are part of the Sas Nagar district, and it is a bit of a drive to get out here from the main city. The road can be bumpy, but there are a lot of factories along the way. At our place, the main thing you notice is the sound of the machines. We make rolls, so there is always the clanking of metal and the hum of the engines running throughout the shift. It is a big open space with high ceilings and heavy equipment bolted to the floor. The guys working the machines have been here since the start and they really know how to handle the metal. We don't have a corporate office in a glass building. Our office is just a small room off to the side of the factory floor. It gets dusty and loud, but that is just the nature of the business in Derabassi. We don't use much fancy language to describe what we do. We just make the rolls that people need. Most of the day is spent checking the measurements and making sure the machines are oiled properly. We drink tea in the small yard outside when the weather is nice. It is a simple life of manufacturing. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just show up to Barwala Road and do the work that is expected of us until it is time to go home.
