Jiwan Singh Girdhari Lal Iron & Steel

Our yard is located on Nasrali Road, and we’ve been dealing with iron and steel here for a long time. The name Jiwan Singh Girdhari Lal has been around for generations in this trade. It’s a rough and ready kind of place. We don’t have a paved driveway or a fancy entrance, just the big gates and the scales for weighing the trucks. Nasrali Road can get pretty muddy when it rains, which makes moving the heavy steel beams a bit of a challenge. We have stacks of rebar and iron sheets piled up high. It’s noisy work, with the cranes and the metal hitting the ground, but we’re used to it. Most of the people who work here have been doing this their whole lives. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word usually just travels by people seeing our trucks on the road or knowing the family name. We try to keep the stock levels right so we don't run out when a big project starts up nearby. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, especially during the peak building seasons. We don't mind the hard work, it’s just what we do. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in a bit of rust and dust, just getting through the day's orders. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living in the steel business.
